Kona Village Resort hit by foreclosure lawsuit

A New York-based banking corporation has filed an $86 million foreclosure suit claiming the owners of the iconic Kona Village Resort have not made good on their loan agreement.

New Fitness Equipment at the Hualalai Spa & Ke’olu Fitness Pavilion

Beginning Monday, 9/23, the current strength training fitness equipment will be removed

from the Ke’olu Fitness Pavilion and replaced with new Kinesis Stations Tuesday, 9/24.

The Ke’olu Fitness Pavilion will remain open during this time for those who may want to

According to David Chai: This is a temporary holding tank for 600 kampachi, 300 of which will be going to stock Kona Village ponds and 300 for our Resort restaurants. They need to be held for 21 days in this quarantine tank prior to stocking.

Sunday afternoon a major gust of wind hit the island. It seemed to come from the ocean and Beach Tree in front of the Beach Tree Restaurant fell. Thank goodness no one was injured. An arborist will be checking to see if it can be replanted and supported.

First Night of Ulu–Fabulous

Cart Path is Now Open

The new cart path is now in place and open for foot and cart traffic. The landscaping team will be beautifying and installing new plants in that location over the next several weeks.
