A Perfect Way To Spend A Friday Afternoon!

Turtles Like Sunbathing at Canoe Club Beach.

One day the walk along the beach between Hualalai and Kukio was like a nature park. A monk seal was hanging out and so was this turtle. Up close, it looks like a rejuvenating facial would help this honey.

2022 Four Seasons Resort Hualālai Canoe Regatta!

The first annual Four Seasons Resort Hualālai Canoe Regatta took place yesterday, March 12. With Hawaiian blessings leading their way, 100 OC-1 and OC-2 paddlers raced a 9-mile course starting directly in front of the Resort. The canoes, looking like swift dolphins, glided gracefully across the waters.

Shark Sighted Sign Was Not a Current Event!!!

Chantal Prunier wrote to clear up any misunderstandings about yesterday’s post with the award worthy photo from Bill McDowell.

“Alaka’i Nalu reports that the Shark Sighted sign hasn’t been on our beach for a while and no shark has been sighted lately!”

Hualalai Grille and Canoe Club Closure

The Hualālai Grille and the Canoe Club are closed in October. Members may continue to utilize the Canoe Club pool. Towels are at Alaka’i Nalu.

 

Canoe Club Regatta, a Huge Success

 

The 17th annual Canoe Club Regatta was held on the beautiful sunny morning of July 6th. The crowd enjoyed the events and the lush spread after as the awards were presented.

In Living Color: A Dramatic Double Rainbow

Hualalali’s Alaka’i Nalu had many participants on Tuesday morning. Backdropping the water sports was a spectacular Technicolor rainbow, both ends visible in the ocean.
