Cash Donations For Maui Fire Victims

Here are some organizations accepting donations for emergency efforts. Links attached to the organization names below will take you directly to donation checkout pages.

  • Hawaii Community Foundation Maui Strong fund: Focusing on rapid response and working with local nonprofits to understand community needs. More details.
  • Maui Food Bank: Collecting and distributing food to help the hungry in Maui County. More details.
  • Maui Humane Society: Supporting shelters for displaced people and animals, and caring for injured animals. Emergency fosters also sought. More details.
  • Maui United Way: Providing direct relief to families and nonprofits. More details.

Ohana Foundation Honor Roll Event Today!

The Hualalai Ohana Foundation’s annual Honor Roll Event is today, Sunday, July 30th. The event starts at 10am in the garden lawn outside of the Hualalai Ballroom with the ceremony beginning at 11am in the ballroom.  This year 88 families are being recognized for their child’s performance and Honor Roll awards.  Children in grades 6-8 receive $150 cash awards with 9th-12th graders receiving $250 cash awards. It’s a heartwarming event–stop by if you have time.

A Department Like No Other

The Four Seasons Resort Hualālai sits on a culturally historical coastline with rich resources and history. David Chai, the director of the Natural Resources Department knew the importance of place within the Hawaiian culture and knew that he had a responsibility to help care for this place. Working alongside the developers and ownership Chai helped designed a concept for a Department to ensure that this place and its resources were taken care of.

Please join Nicole “Nicky” Tachibana, the Natural Resources Supervisor, as she takes a journey into why the Department was created, how the Department has evolved and future projects. Stop by the Kumu Kai Center at Kings Pond to learn more about the history of A Department Like No Other.

Silent auction is now open and bids are welcome online at the following link:

To bid on an item, you will need to first join the auction to bid.  Once you have joined, the system will send you a “magic link” via email or text message or both. That message will read “Your auction awaits! Follow this magic link to log in to my bidder account.”

Once you open that link you’ll be able to enter your credit card details to start bidding.  There, you will be able to view details of a bid, place a bid and manage all current bids.  If you are uncomfortable with the online bidding process and would like assistance placing your bids the evening of the event, we will have a help desk available to assist you with any questions you might have about how to participate.
