Your Editor Has Been Off the Grid

If any of you wondered if your intrepid editor had fallen off the end of a pier, I have not. Instead I’ve been drowning in the monumental task of selling our home of 28 years and clearing it out along with the memories and thousands of photos that have accumulated […]

May Day, Lei day Activities!

Saturday Morning in Waimea/ Farmer’s Markets

Looking sporty in her mask, Susan Frampton runs into Hualalai Club member, Becky Holman, who snaps her photo at the Parker Farmer’s Market.

Animal House

It’s a real zoo around our house. Just yesterday a gecko came in for a visit, a mongoose strolled through the shower garden, Francolins roosted by the lanai, and birds flew in and out. These egrets were on the alert for the next guests’ arrival.

One Golf Cart Is Just Like the Other!

A Note from Cecilia Hirko:

Have you ever returned back from dinner at the resort and have your golf cart missing? You’re pretty sure you remember where you parked it, right? Golf cart still not there? Double check. Triple check. Hmmm, wondering if perhaps that last glass of wine impaired your […]

Flowers and Things

Dear Members, Please excuse the lack of posts recently–your intrepid editor got stung by some super strong tropical insect and hasn’t had the use of her thumb (or really her brain) for several days. I’ve wanted to share the beautiful flower arrangements for Thanksgiving that I ordered via the Club, and the interesting shots Bill […]

Ever Wonder How Hurricanes Get Their Names?

Barbara Kildow shared this interesting article about how hurricanes get their names. I hope we don’t have to get on a first name basis with one at Hualalai anytime soon!

Also, just for fun: a shot of one of the quirky creatures you see at night at Hualalai after two […]

Francolin’s Meeting Was a Fight!

Without audio, it looked like a nice gathering. Thank you, Becky Holman, for shedding light on the truth.

Feeling the Aloha

Sent from the Holley Ohana “The Holley Ohana created a chalk art masterpiece on the street outside our home. We’d like to encourage other homeowners to brighten up their street and the resort with your own creative art projects. Please submit your photos for all to see and let’s make Hualalai a cheery place […]

Happy, Healthy 2020

I don’t know about you, but I’m blown away that this year is 2020. I still remember worrying about turning to 2000 and what it was going to do to our computers. A friend of ours bought a generator in case everything went dark. And here we are, twenty years later. It seemed to go […]

Happy Holidays To All!

Here are a few shots from around Hualalai as members enjoy the holidays.
