The 4th annual Waimea Ocean Film Festival opens January 2-5, 2014 in Waimea, before moving on to Four Seasons Resort Hualālai January 6-10. This dynamic and exciting event brings top films, filmmakers, speakers, artists and films to the Big Island every January, with films, receptions, breakfast talks, presentations, exhibits and morning activities scheduled non-stop during this time.
Over 50 incredible films this year, with films playing simultaneously at multiple venues during the Waimea period (Kahilu Theatre, HPA Gates and Parker School Theatre, and Fairmont Orchid), with breakfast talks are at Anna Ranch and the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. Other activities include sunrise yoga on the beach, and special receptions, such as the opening reception at the Fairmont Orchid January 2nd at 5pm, and the closing reception January 10th at Four Seasons Resort Hualalali.
Festival passes can be purchased on-line, by contacting the festival office (808-854-6095, or info@waimeaoceanfilm.org), or on select Saturdays at the Parker Farmer’s Market. Gift Passes are available for holiday gifts. Kama`aina /early purchase rates are available in advance by contacting the festival office, through Dec. 15th.
