The Summer Bash has been reinvented to an upscale Street Fair/ Taste of Hualalai event. July 27, Saturday, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM.
The air all day at Hualalai had been thick with humidity. It was hot and sticky until the afternoon, when the breezes picked up. Then the rains came, an unexpected deluge. It created an eery sunset. It’s these kinds of weather events that make the tropics and Hualalai special, but they can play havoc with dinner plans.
Sometimes Mother Nature’s creations are so wondrous that they don’t look real. Michael Bonahan photographed this Pandora Sphinx Moth went it came to visit him recently.
A new addition to the lunch menu at Ke’olu is mouth-watering delicious!

Hualalali’s Alaka’i Nalu had many participants on Tuesday morning. Backdropping the water sports was a spectacular Technicolor rainbow, both ends visible in the ocean.
A NOTE FROM DEBBIE CASEY:
“I hope by now you are in receipt of the Hualālai Club Survey and are busy filling it out! This new Member survey was e-mailed out last night and will be available for submission until June 23rd. The purpose of the survey is to gather current demographic information, learn more about Member preference in programming and assess priorities for desired facilities upgrades and enhancements. It will also provide benchmarking tools for the future so that we can measure our success in meeting and exceeding Member expectations. If you need the link to be forwarded, please contact Club Concierge at 808-325-8450 and they can assist you. Thank you for your time and feedback!”
Diane Kantor writes: “It’s spring at Hualalai, too!” And this photo proves it!
Prime rib on French bread with au jus, housemade horseradish, tossed salad and balsamic vinaigrette on the side. Another reason I can’t wait to get back to Hualalai!
On SATURDAY, JUNE 8, at 11:30 AM at Ke’olu, Chef Junior and Chef Lisa will help celebrate Global Wellness Day with a cooking demonstration, using local products and ingredients. This is complimentary. Please RSVP.
Member Marci Cooper recently enjoyed a round of golf at Scottsdale National. Here she is with Scott Dorey and Chris Yates.
