Recently discovered vintage, never before seen, 16mm films from a garage sale taken during a world tour in 1940. This digital conversion of a short portion of those films depict of The Big Island’s Kona side. From vintage coffee and cotton plantations, to The Kona Inn and a paniolo cattle drive from the past. Please note: a few scenes are edited with a few scenes from a second trip circa 1951-’52.
