Hualalai Resort Security Update
Aloha Club Member,
I know you have been receiving many communications from us lately, particularly in the midst of Hurricane Ana’s approach, and I appreciate you taking the time to read them.
As you know, our Hualalai community is an extremely special place. We are very fortunate to have a dedicated and talented security team that take their jobs very seriously. Over the past 18 years, they have been diligent and fortunately we have had very few incidents within Hualalai. That being said, we wanted to take this opportunity to update you on a couple of incidents that have recently been reported by fellow Members at Hualalai.
One of our Members in a private residence reported a light from outside of their home shining into their home at approximately 1:00 am. Security arrived quickly, did a thorough search of the property and found no signs of attempted entry into the home. Subsequently, more frequent patrols by security have been occurring in that neighborhood.
Another Member reported that she and two of her houseguests had left their villa unsecured during the day with their purses/wallets in the villa. Upon returning, they reported that a fair amount of cash was stolen from their individual wallets, however, all their jewelry and electronics were not touched. In addition, some cash was left in each of the wallets. As part of security’s internal investigation, it was recommended to involve the authorities and file a police report, which the Member respectfully declined.
In response to these events, security has increased their presence and visibility in these specific areas as well as throughout all of the residential neighborhoods within Hualalai.
We wanted to take this opportunity to remind all of you that while we pride ourselves on keeping you and your guests safe and protected at Hualalai, you can help by securing your residences while you are out. In addition, if you happen to see anything out of the ordinary or that causes you concern, please report it to security immediately at 808.325.8325.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at your convenience.
Sincerely,
John
