On the 3rd of May, the Monday Night Mooch became the May Day Mooch. It’s been a tradition at Hualalai to honor of May Day by hosting a group of young adults from the Kealakehe Intermediate School to perform for their families and us. The students elect a King and Queen and a court and everyone is presented at the Hoku Amphitheatre by describing their background and their parents. The students then perform traditional dances representing their backgrounds. Families attend and food and drink is served to celebrate the event. The person at Hualalai who organizes this lovely event is Violet Terawaki.
