Many of us have been watching the news and trying to figure out how Hualalai has faired during this current Hurricane watch and warning. Since most of the news is about Hilo (which has suffered enough) we don’t know what’s happening in Kona and the West Coastline.
Yesterday the following graphics give us some hopeful information:
Some information is coming in from friends etc. Here is an email received from one of the House Managers at 5:47PM yesterday:
Aloha Friends and clients,
Hurricane Lane was just downgraded to a Cat 1 storm. It is still offshore and is now impacting the west side of the Big Island and Maui with some steady rain.
At this time, we have not experienced any of the damaging rain or wind that other parts of the state have, WHEW 😊…Fortunately, it appears the rain has not been wind driven which does often lead to issues.
A friend and employee of Hualalai, who lives in Waimea said, We have lots of rain and wind, but we’re fine.
