Meet Our Newest Sales Executive: Ku’uipo Valenzuela

Ku’uipo Valenzuela

Meet Ku’uipo Valenzuela, the newest real estate Sales Executive with Hualalai Realty. I call her Ku’u because…it’s easier and she is okay with that!

Ku’uipo joined us about two months ago after working for some time at the Mauna Lani Resort, selling the Kamilo development for Brookfield Residential. Prior to Kamilo she represented developers selling Wai’ula’ula at the Mauna Kea Resort, Luala’i in Waimea, and Hali’i Kai at the Waikoloa Beach Resort.

Ku’u was raised on Oahu until she was thirteen years old, at which time her family moved to Waimea, where her father works for Parker Ranch. After High School, she attended the University of Hawaii at Hilo majoring in Business. In 2013 she married Erwin Valenzuela who is a lineman for HELCO.

Ku’u has two young children, 3-year-old, Tayvin and 9-month old, Tayvia. Both attend daycare in Waimea. When asked how she handles caring for two kids and working full time, her answer is simple: “I don’t sleep.”

She does, however, take time off for her hobby of free diving. She’s not the kind of free diver who holds their breath and keeps going deeper and deeper. Ku’u free dives for dinner in shallow waters. She loves spear-fishing with a 3-prong spear; her favorite fish to take home are Kole.

Ku’u says she jumped at the chance to work at Hualalai because she always considered the resort to be the best in the world. She loves the fact that the staff and members consider themselves “Ohana” and that Hualalai maintains stewardship over the land. “Everyone has been so welcoming, not only the members, but all the staff too. The people is what makes this place so special”

If you are in the Real Estate Office area feel free to stop in and meet Ku’u. She and Regina are great assets to the Real Estate Office.
