April 10th join your neighbors and friends for this year’s final Hualalai Keck Observatory presentation at Hualalai this year.

Professor Imke de Pater is the Chair of the Department of Astronomy at UC Berkeley and a world renowned planetary scientist.  Harnessing the W. M. Keck Observatory and its adaptive optics capabilities, her research has revealed astonishing detail about our solar system neighborhood, from measuring the impact of Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 with Jupiter in 2004, detecting methane drizzle on Saturn’s moon Titan, to observing the dynamics of weather systems on Neptune and Uranus.  Join us in this final program of the 2013 season as Dr. de Pater gives us an intimate insider’s tour of our solar system made possible by the power of Keck.
