Member, Bob Styer, makes a hole-in-one at the Mitsubishi Electric Open Results are here!

Aloha,

It is another beautiful day at Hualalai and after yesterday’s first round with basically no wind, many of the best golfers to ever play the game made low scores look quite easy.

David Frost is leading the field with a 7 under par 65 and there are 6 others who are tied at 6 under par 66 – Tom Kite, Kirk Triplett, Willie Wood, John Cook, Fred Couples and Tom Lehman. Our own Tom Watson shot a 69 with an eagle on the 10th hole and 2 other birdies on the back nine.

If you did not get a chance to watch the televised broadcast yesterday, I wanted to let you know that the production team has included an airplane with a High Definition camera this year. The shots from that airplane provide live overhead images of the golf as well as the entire resort and images of the Island that have never been included before and are absolutely stunning. I hope you get a chance to watch the next 2 days of the broadcast which will be aired live on the golf channel today and tomorrow from 2:30-5:00 pm HST. The wind looks to be picking up a bit, so the professionals may have a bit more to deal with for their final 2 rounds.
