FIFTH ANNUAL BENEFIT ART AUCTION

 

The Donkey Mill Art Center in Holualoa will proudly celebrate its 16th Anniversary with Art: Passion and Perspective, a benefit art auction at the Four Seasons Hualalai Resort on Saturday, November 26 from 6:00 to 9:30pm.

Island residents and visitors are invited to join local artists for an evening of art, spirits and epicurean delights. Over one hundred known and emerging artists have donated their work for this very special evening. A limited number of tickets are available for $100.

A pre-auction exhibition will be shown at the Donkey Mill Art Center from November 1st through the 19th. During this time, there will be several presentations by artists about their passion and perspectives of making art.

 

The Artistic Director of the Holualoa Fundation for Arts & Culture, Hiroki Morinoue, will host special tours of this year’s exhibition on November 8th and 15th from 11am-12pm and from 5-6pm. Morinoue will talk about the featured artists, sharing their inspirations and techniques. This will be followed by a question and answer session.

The public is invited to an Artist’s Reception on Thursday, November 10th from 6 to 8pm. Auction items can also be viewed on-line via the website at www.DonkeyMillArtCenter.org.

The Donkey Mill Art Center is located at 78-6670 Mamalahoa Highway and is the home of the Holualoa Foundation for Arts and Culture. The mission of this non-profit charitable organization is to enrich the lives of persons of all ages and abilities through arts and culture. Their vision is to provide a stimulating environment that helps individuals discover, develop, and expand their artistic abilities. Funds raised though Art: Passion and Perspective support the Mill’s art and cultural education programs.
