Tsunami 6: Kathy reports on her morning walk.

Aloha,

Bob and I walked the beachfront early this morning. He will be posting more videos soon.  Our beloved Alakai Nalu is gone. The kids and crew were all cleaning up early this morning. Dumpsters and bulldozers are in place all over the properties. Insurance inspectors doing walkabouts. Eeeery silence everywhere. Some hotel suites are destroyed and look inside you see a table set with wine glasses and champagne. Ghost like.  Crushed canoe in the Pa’uhia pond along with furniture and belongings.

We want to help with clean up but Bob is leery of liability concerns. He is probably right. Walking around you can see 300 yards into Kona Village where the ocean went surging. All the concrete walks are  torn upside down on the beach fronts. The King’s Pond is a total loss. There were a few fish in the ponds by the Beach House…..probably wondering where all their friends went.
