Yesterday the Hawaiian Islands activated the Tsunami evacuation plans. Hotel and Kona Village Guests along with residents in low lying homes were evacuated to Ke ‘Olu by 10 AM. At 11:00 AM the tsunami (a reaction from the earthquake in Chile) arrive in Hilo. All watched on TV. The staff at Hualalai and Kona Village took the lemon and made lemonade by providing on going food and even some entertainment, as well as securing property throughout the resort. Fortunately the tsunami passed and was uneventful, but Mahalo to staff who responded so well.
