Avi Kiriaty (b. 1957) is a prolific island artist whose work is highly collectible. He has produced works in many media, from oil and watercolor painting to printmaking, lava and bronze sculpture and ceramics. Kiriatyʻs art is a feast of lush colors and bold lines, often depicting the beauty of the Polynesian lifestyle. His paintings reflect his mastery of classical, post-impressionist, and modern art styles gleaned from a life of worldwide travels. In 1993 Avi had a one-man show, “Kama‘aina,” at “Bechaus” in Munich, and has been featured in the United Airlines Hemisphere magazine, Nalu magazine in Japan, Stern magazine in Europe, and Manoa Journal in Hawaii, among many other publications.
